The Vision.
“We believe the future of enterprise software is not another web application. It is autonomous, decentralized, and entirely local.”
The first generation of software digitized manual processes. The second generation moved those processes to the cloud. We are building the third generation: software that performs the work for you.
The Shift to Autonomous Agents
At AleroLabs, we specialize in intelligence architecture. Traditional supply chains and B2B enterprises are burdened by a staggering amount of manual data entry—parsing PDFs, cross-referencing market rates, mapping out transit routes, and communicating with vendors.
Instead of building slightly better dashboards to display this data, we build local AI agents that do the parsing, cross-referencing, and communicating automatically. We replace software users with software operators.
OUR MANIFESTO
- 01. Latency is unacceptable. Inference must happen at the edge.
- 02. Privacy is absolute. No data uploads to public cloud LLMs.
- 03. Specialists beat generalists. Smaller, fine-tuned models outperform bloated foundational models.
THE FOUNDER
AleroLabs was founded by Jon Nelson, a 20-year veteran of the freight brokerage industry who has spent his career at the intersection of logistics operations and technology.
Jon was part of the original team that built Navisphere at C.H. Robinson from its inception, and then serving as the liaison between IT and the business. He led the global rollout of the TMS across Europe and India, and went on to create the international division's automation team after solo-developing the initial proof of concept, managing a development team in Chennai.
Today, Jon serves as VP and Head of IT at StoneArch Logistics, where he runs everything from day-to-day operations — software, hardware, networking — to the larger strategic initiatives: digital transformation, AI integration, and the long-term technology vision for the company.
AleroLabs exists because Jon saw the same problems for two decades — manual data entry, disconnected systems, and vendor lock-in — and decided to build the tools he wished existed. Not from an outside tech company guessing at logistics. From inside the industry.
Beyond Logistics
While our core focus has been Logistics Autonomy (automating freight rate negotiations and transit intelligence), the infrastructure we've built is industry agnostic. This is why AleroLabs has divisions exploring geopolitical intelligence (AleroGlobal), FinTech (CudaNano), and Agricultural Tech (AleroAG). The unified theory remains the same across all divisions: build specialized models and deploy them on local hardware.
